I still remember exactly where I was sitting the first time I saw it. Kitchen counter. Cold coffee. Dead phone battery. And this video from www.youtube.com started playing.
It wasn't flashy. No slick intro. Just a guy, Jamie Lewis, talking calmly about something he called a "money printing funnel." Most people would scroll past. I almost did. But something about the way he laid out the numbers made me pause. I ended up rewinding three times before I finished the whole thing.
That single video set off a chain reaction that changed my entire business.
The video on www.youtube.com wasn't really about tactics. That's what everyone got wrong. People watched it looking for the "buy button hack" or the "secret ad setting." They missed the forest.
Jamie spent maybe 90 seconds on the technical stuff. The rest was pure psychological architecture.
He walked through why someone buys, hesitates, buys again, and stays. He called it the ascending commitment curve. I'd never heard anyone explain customer psychology in that way. It made every Facebook ad I'd ever run look like a half-built bridge.
"You don't have a traffic problem. You have a sequence problem."
That one line hit me like a brick. I'd been throwing money at ads, thinking that more eyeballs would fix everything. The real bottleneck was everything that happened after the click.
I've watched hundreds of people try to replicate what Jamie showed in that video. They copy the form. They copy the words. And it flops.
Here's what I eventually realized. And it took signing up for his coaching program to truly get it.
The funnel isn't a template. It's a logic. The video was just the demonstration of the logic. The real work is internalizing the framework so you can apply it to any market, any offer, any price point. That's what the coaching gave me. A decision-making operating system, not just a fill-in-the-blanks PDF.
Marketers these days master Facebook ads and tell you that's all you need to know. They're wrong. Ads are just the front door. If the house is a mess, no amount of welcome mat will keep people inside.
Before that video, I thought I had a marketing business. After, I realized I had a guessing habit.
I didn't know my customer's dominant emotion five minutes before they landed on my page. I didn't know what my follow-up sequence needed to say on day 3 versus day 7. I didn't understand that the "thanks for buying" page was actually the most important page in the whole funnel, because it's where retention really starts.
Jamie's video on www.youtube.com exposed all of that in 47 minutes. The comments under the video are a graveyard of people who "liked it" and did nothing. I almost joined them.
The difference? I took action. I reached out. I invested in the coaching program. And that's where the real download happened.
I won't pretend it was easy. Learning to build a proper funnel meant unlearning three years of bad habits. But the shift was undeniable.
My first funnel after the program did $12,400 in 19 days. Not life-changing, but finally profitable. More importantly, I understood why it worked. When something broke later, I could fix it without crying in a Facebook group for help.
That's the piece most people skip. They want the map, not the compass. The video was the map. The coaching taught me how to navigate terrain that wasn't on the map.
Stop hunting for the next platform trick. The platform changes every quarter. The psychology of a buyer does not.
That documentary is still up on www.youtube.com. It's got maybe 60,000 views, which is criminal considering what's in it. But I'm almost glad. It's like a private key left in plain sight. Most people won't pick it up.
If you're past the point of thinking that a better audience targeting setting will save you, you're ready for what's next. I built something for that exact person.
The system I use today isn't exactly the one Jamie showed back then. I've refined it across 180+ funnels for my own projects and clients. But the DNA is the same. And it's the thing that finally turned marketing from a slot machine into a predictable engine.
You can grab the full breakdown at the link below. It's the blueprint I wish I'd had the day after watching that video, before the habits got sticky. No filler. Just the sequence logic, the math, and the implementation checklist that turns a viewer into a customer into a buyer-for-life.
